CITY BREAK IN PARIS

I went to Paris with my family for the first time in my life and was amazed by the city. Only spent 2 days there and I did my best to see and capture as much as possible in that 48 hours. It was hard to choose which photos to upload from the 200 images I took. I hope I made the right choice after all and you will enjoy my blog. Looking forward to hearing your comments!

I always find it hard to choose the first picture but I think this would be the best. It is Paris and it is the start of Spring.

Arc-de-Triomphe. Nothing like in tour guide books. It was my first stop on day 1. a monumental experience.

One of the four main sculptures of the monument. The face of the Le Départ de 1792 (or La Marseillaise), by François Rude. Powerful!

The classic image of the 324 Meter high metal Trocadéro /The Eiffel Tower. We didn't have any luck with the weather so I though B&W would work here better.

Did you know? 15000 pieces of metal were used in the construction of the Eiffel Tower.

From below...

All those mini ones you can take home in different colors too. Loads to choose from.

Next stop was the Louvre. I was really hoping to take a wide shot but there were loads of cranes around. This was the frame without any.

Sacre Coeur from the side. I was waiting and waiting but the tourists never stopped coming.

The city from above. Fantastic view.

Which one to choose to take home?

I have recently seen the documentary about Banksy - Exit Through the Gift Shop and was so happy to see the Space Invader.

Those lovely coffee shops on every corner. Missing them already.

One of my favorite square. Just outside La Droguerie is the St Eustache square with this surprising street sculpture.

And the other favorite square with less tourist.

If I ever decide to move to Paris this is the square I'm going to move to.

Our last stop before heading to the train station to catch the Eurostar was the Notre Dame. Next time I won't leave without going up to the towers.

I was again having trouble deciding which photo should be the last. But then I choose the one I took last.
